Julia Kobel (Radzihovsky) is from Lexington, Massachusetts, U.S.A., born to Russian-immigrant parents. She is a Medical Writer with a background in molecular biology, but enjoys drawing in her spare time. Her two visits to the Galapagos Islands and her love of turtles inspired her to create her first published children’s book. She now lives in Bogota, Colombia with her Swiss husband and two children. Julia's hobbies include drawing, hiking, and traveling the world.
